Live streaming doesn't auto start for each class?
For some users, the autoplay doesn't kick start when the countdown hits 00Hrs 00Mins 00Sec. Please press refresh and it will play.
If you’re a bit of a tech geek and want to dive deeper:
We recognise that many of our students take great pains to make it to a live stream. Schedules are sorted, babysitters are sometimes called in, you’re all dressed up in your workout gear, you get in a good stretch and then…the class is suddenly frozen on your screen. You reboot, it works a bit, and then it stops. Not the ideal way to experience something that is literally designed to make you feel better.
Why is this happening?
The coronavirus is upending a lot of things but one unique side effect is how it is affecting the global infrastructure of the internet. People everywhere who used to work in offices are now on video conference calls all day, kids are streaming into their virtual classrooms and it is bringing the bones of the global network that powers the internet to it’s knees. Here’s a story on that. Even the biggest players in the game (Disney, Netflix, etc.) are struggling with it.
So what can we do?
There are a few things you can do to mitigate the effects of this increased strain on bandwidth on your Ebb&Flow experience:
Use the Google Chrome browser (on a computer or a mobile device but a computer is probably your safest bet) and watch the Classes from the website. The video player that is used by the Chrome browser is more naturally equipped to handle the ups and downs of the global network being overworked at the moment.
Here’s a hard one: tell your kids, parents, roommates, or other human beings who might be streaming something on your internet connection to pause while you do your Class.
Can you give me some instructions on how to get going with EbbFlowYoga.tv?
It’s very easy to use, simply click this link and follow the above instructions.
Can I stream using the E&F studio app?
No, this service is not connected to Mindbody or the E&F app.
How much does it cost?
You have two plan choices. You can either set up a monthly direct debit which is £39.99 per month (£9.99 per week) or you can pay per week from Monday through to Sunday for £11.99. Please note that the cost will remain at £11.99, should you choose to only purchase mid-week.
How does live streaming work with my class pack for classes at the studio?
This is an additional service that is separate from studio class packs, as these can only be redeemed in the studio. All memberships and class packs are now on hold until the studio re-opens, so if you have any questions about this please contact jill@ebbflowyoga.co.uk
Can I still come to the studio in Farnham?
The studio is now closed and will remain closed until such a time that we feel it is safe for members to return and practise in person.
Which classes are live streamed?
All yoga classes (except pre-natal classes) will be live streamed, together with Barre and Pilates too.
Will the live streams be recorded?
Yes, we will record each live class so that anyone who is unable to attend the live stream is able to watch it back afterwards under the category “Live Replays”. Please note these recordings will stay up in the video library for a shorter time, and will then be removed to make room for the new ones.
Who can see the live stream?
Anyone who has paid for a weekly or monthly access to EbbFlowYoga.tv
Are you going to close the studio ?
As per the latest update, the studio is now temporarily closed and in the meantime we will continue to live stream and upload online classes for you to practise at home. All memberships and class packs will be put on hold and extended until we are able to re-open.
How do I cancel my live stream membership?
Simple! You can edit all details on your account under the “Account” page on the top right of the screen.
